MHC Restriction of V-V Interactions in Serum IgG
نویسندگان
چکیده
is based on Jerne’s hypothesis, and provides a basis for understanding many of the phenomena of adaptive immunity. The theory includes the postulate that the repertoire of serum IgG molecules is regulated by T cells, with the result that IgG molecules express V region determinants that mimic V region determinants present on suppressor T cells. In this paper we describe rapid binding between purified murine serum IgG of a given strain and IgG of the same strain and also between IgG from MHC-matched mice, but not between serum IgG preparations of mice with different MHC genes. We interpret this surprising finding in terms of a model in which IgG molecules are selected to have both anti-anti-(self MHC class II) and anti-antianti-(self MHC class II) specificity.

Some serum acute phase proteins and immunoglobulins concentrations in calves with rotavirus, coronavirus, E. coli F5 and Eimeria species
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes in the serum concentrations of haptoglobin (Hp), serum amyloid A (SAA) and IgG, IgA in calves with diarrhea caused by rotavirus, coronavirus, Escherichia coli F5 and Eimeria species. The experiment was carried out on 40 diarrhoeic and 10 non-diarrhoeic calves (group C). A total of 13 calves were infected with rotavirus or coronavirus (group ...

Genetic improvement programs may improve disease resistance in animal production. The best-characterized genetic control of disease resistance and immune response in animals is the one associated with the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC). The ovine lymphocyte antigenof DRB1 gene encodes cell surface glycoproteins that initiate immune responses by presenting processed antigenic peptides to...
متن کاملSerum Factors Induced the Nuclear Location of Annexin V in the Human Osteosarcoma Cell Line (MG-63)
Calcium-binding proteins play essential roles in the cell. One important class of calcium-binding proteins is the annexin family. This is a family of 13 proteins, which binds to phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. Osteosarcoma cell line (MG-63) is a transformed cell that has many characteristics of the differentiated cell, such as a considerable serum dependency in its growth rate. Usi...
متن کاملThe immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region affects kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of antibody variable region interactions with antigen.
A central dogma in immunology is that antibody specificity is a function of the variable (V) region. However serological analysis of IgG(1), IgG(2a), and IgG(2b) switch variants of murine monoclonal antibody (mAb) 3E5 IgG(3) with identical V domains revealed apparent specificity differences for Cryptococcus neoformans glucuronoxylomannan (GXM). Kinetic and thermodynamic binding properties of mA...
متن کاملFrequency of Factor V Leiden and Prothrombin Polymorphism in South of Iran
Normal hemostasis requires balanced regulation of prothrombotic and antithrombotic factors. Inherited alteration of factor V and prothrombin gene, the G20210A mutation, increases the resistance of factor V to degradation and booster production of prothrombin respectively. These alterations can increase hypercoagulability leading to thrombotic consequences. We aimed to assess the frequencies of ...
